My subject matter emerges from my curiosity of the intricate details of the body that are created by the passage of time and experience.  Instead of conveying emotion through the eyes of the figure, it is evoked through the texture and movement of the flesh itself. What feelings are evoked if the colors in the skin are saturated to resemble bruises? What if certain parts of the body are magnified? By placing an emphasis on the movement, texture, and shades of the skin, it evolves into something more than just flesh on bone. I invite the viewer to interrogate and compare their evoked emotions through their own psychological lens.
